About Madeline Vadkerty

Madeline Vadkerty has used her language skills in many ways
over the course of her career. She interpreted into and out of
English for survivors of human rights abuses in French, Spanish
and Russian at Advocates for Survivors of Torture and Trauma
in Washington, DC and Baltimore, Maryland. She also used her
skills in French, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Czech, Slovak, Serbian/
Croatian, Polish, German, Yiddish and Ukrainian to catalog and describe oral histories
and archival documents at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in
Washington, DC. At the US Department of State (Washington, DC), she worked on
international exchange programs for leaders in Western and Eastern Europe, the
former USSR and Latin America.
